Southern Team Subaru believes that all pets deserve loving homes. That’s why, through the Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, Southern Team Subaru is committed to improving the lives of as many shelter animals as possible.
The ASPCA® reports that 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2025, where many live day after day waiting for the love of a family or a home. This October, Southern Team Subaru will provide direct funding to Roanoke Valley SPCA through a grant administered by the ASPCA® to help cover costs for preparing animals for adoption, veterinary expenses, and more.
October 22 will be the 8th annual National Make A Dog's Day, a day created by Subaru to encourage everyone to do something extra special for their pet. This year, we are asking people to consider adopting, fostering, or supporting older and disabled animals, "Underdogs", as a life-changing way to Make A Dog's Day.
Subaru is proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA. With over $75 million donated to national and local pet-focused organizations, Subaru and retailers like us have supported the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 900,000 animals.
