Reservations for the new 2024 Crosstrek have opened up allowing consumers to order theirs now. Subaru has improved the Crosstrek by adding new exterior styling and interior elements. The compact SUV also sees improved capability and versatility. Lately, Subaru has been focused on its electrification efforts seeking out partners like Toyota to help with new EV technology. The automaker’s first EV the Subaru Solterra owes its success to this collaboration. While Subaru continues to aim for new EVs, it’s nice to see the automaker paying attention to its fan favorites. The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Has Arrived
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is here boasting new changes and updates. Subaru has improved the next-generation compact SUV to ensure it maintains its status as a best seller. The Japanese automaker focused on the Crosstrek’s capability and versatility by improving its chassis and all-wheel drive system. The compact SUV has also had its unique X-Mode enhanced to better serve drivers as they traverse off-road terrain. One of the changes that some may dislike is the removal of the Crosstrek’s manual transmission. Subaru was forced to remove this transmission however as it interferes with the automaker’s EyeSight safety suite.
While the 2024 Crosstrek features new changes, it arrives with the same engine options. This includes the 152 horsepower 2.0L flat-four and the 182 horsepower 2.5L flat-four engine. These engines pair with a continuously variable transmission and feature all-wheel drive. In improving the Crosstrek’s capability, Subaru made modifications to the SUV’s all-wheel drive system. The improvements have provided the SUV with a quicker response time. Those Crosstreks that are equipped with the 2.5L will now be built in the United States. Those using the 2.0L will continue to be built in Japan. For fuel economy, the Crosstrek receives 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.
For styling changes, the 2024 Crosstrek sees minor additions. This includes additional black plastic cladding on its body. Higher-level trims like the Sport see new yellow accents both inside and out. Subaru has also updated the Crosstrek’s infotainment screen making it 11.6 inches. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Owners can also utilize Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite which features lane keep assist, pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, and more. One final change is that Subaru has raised the price of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. The compact SUV now starts at an MSRP of 25,065 (plus destination fee).
